The Master's degree course in Rescue Engineering at the TH Köln provides students with basic technical training through which they acquire the necessary specialist knowledge of innovative and efficient concepts for preventive and operative hazard control and safety engineering.

Admission requirements

The admission requirement is a recognised first certificate of academic degree in Rescue Engineering or a comparable degree course worth at least 210 credit points (CP) in accordance with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) and an overall grade of 2.5 or better. The Examination Board will determine the relevance of other degrees. Prospective students who have not yet completed their relevant academic studies can participate in the selection procedure, provided they can demonstrate at the time of applying that: - no more than 30 CP are required to obtain their academic degree - the provisional average grade is 2.5 - registration for the final thesis has been made. Enrolment is then subject to the condition that evidence of successful completion is provided by the 2nd semester.
