Target group

Graduates in psychology who would like to complete training for a licence to practice as a depth psychologist, who are interested in acquiring both professional experience and working on scientific research and who would like to make their own academic contribution with a (possibly second) Master’s thesis (MSc in Psychotherapy), or who would like to complete a doctorate, perhaps in cooperation with another university.

Annotation

At the PHB (Berlin Psychological University), the training to obtain a licence to practise depth psychology-based psychotherapy is integrated, as part of a unique model, into a postgraduate Master's degree course (MSc) in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. This model is particularly suitable for prospective psychotherapists who want to be trained according to the current state of knowledge and research and who want to pursue their own scientific interests. The admission requirement is a Master's or Diploma degree in psychology.

After the intermediate examination (end of the 3rd semester), Practical Training under Supervision generates income. The fees earned during the training amount to EUR 33,864 to EUR 45,152 (600 to 800 therapy hours)
