When starting studies in the summer semester, the 1st stage of studies consists of three instead of two semesters. This means that the entire degree course takes eight instead of seven semesters. In addition to the modules in the compact option, the course includes modules such as “Orientation in the Professional Field”, “Fundamentals of Natural Sciences” and “Coaching”. Eligibility under the Federal Students Assistance Act (BAföG) to extend studies by one semester is possible upon individual application.
