The course is aimed at graduates with a first professional qualification in studies in the field of the Environmental and Geosciences or a Bachelor's degree in the amount of 180 credits from an equivalent and relevant course at a university or equivalent university in Germany or abroad.

This program is offered in cooperation with the Ernst-Abbe-Hochschule Jena, where students are enrolled as secondary students. Applications are made through the Friedrich Schiller University Jena.

Admission requirements

A subject related requirement is proof of academic achievements in the field of Biogeosciences, Geosciences or Environmental Technology amounting to at least 60 credits and a final grade of at least 'good'. International applicants are required to provide proof of command of German at the level of a DSH test (stage 2), a TestDaF (TDN 4) or a recognised equivalent.
