Admission requirements

The general admission requirements for the continuing education Master's degree programme is 1. Proof of completion of a subject-relevant state examination, Diplom or Bachelor's degree in the field of law, economics, architecture, civil engineering, project development (or thematically similar courses of study) or proof of a German or foreign certificate of academic degree. This degree must have earned 240 ECTS points, and 2. Relevant professional training of at least one year. If less than 240 credits but at least 180 credits have been earned as part of a degree course in accordance with para. 1, skills and competences acquired from professional activity can be credited. A maximum of 30 CP per year of professional activity and a total of a maximum of 60 CP can be credited. The professional activity recognised to compensate for the lack of CP can be offset against the one-year professional experience required as an admission requirement. This means that one year of professional practice firstly meets the admission requirements for the degree course and secondly, the same year can be recognised as a compensatory work experience for missing academic credits. The Examination Board decides on the crediting. Anyone who achieves the minimum number of credit points required in accordance with para. 1 by way of credit may be admitted to the degree course. These qualification achievements must be related to the profile required for admission and must be documented in writing. If more admissions have been issued than there are available study places, the priority principle applies. The date of registration is decisive.
