Annotation

The Bachelor's degree in Education and Teaching is aimed at students interested in a career in teaching at intermediate schools and German lower secondary schools. The Bachelor's degree course qualifies students to enter a profession. Professional qualification, particularly for activities within the professional fields of education associated with school and non-school education in the pre-school, primary and secondary I sectors, is based on the acquisition of well-founded academic skills related to Biology, the respective combination subject and to Educational Sciences. The course of study is divided into two teaching subjects, whereby in the case of the later career goal of teaching Biology must be studied, alongside English, German, Art, Mathematics, Music or Physics or French (career goal of teaching at German lower secondary schools only) as an alternative. The course of study with the core curriculum (KCL-BEU) also includes an inter-disciplinary professional qualification area that must be completed. The course of study involves two placements of at least nine weeks in total.
