Students acquire skills in different approaches to Music Education / Didactics, Musicology, Psychology and Sociology. The expansion of practical music skills on traditional and innovative instruments as well as in singing is the focus of artistic training. The course begins on the first of September. The degree course is on three days at the university and two days in a self-chosen practice or training facility.
Admission requirements
Aptitude test Training agreement/work placement agreement: A work placement in a social institution is part of the dual degree course. Applicants are responsible for applying for a work placement and signing a training agreement with the corresponding institution. When all application documents have been submitted, by the latest once applicants have passed the aptitude test, Fachhochschule Clara Hoffbauer Potsdam - University of Applied Sciences will help applicants to find a work placement.

As part of the integrated degree programme students work in a social institution which has mandatory social security contributions as part of the employment relationship. Students can generally cover the costs of the degree from their wages.
