Judicial officer trainees of the federal states of Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland receive their training here. Following admission to the preparatory stage of training, the applicants are employed as civil servants with a revocable appointment. They have the title 'Rechtspflegeranwärterin' or 'Rechtspflegeranwärter' (trainee judicial officer). During the training (known as the preparatory stage of training) you will receive trainee stipends (salary) according to the Civil Service Remuneration Act (Bundesbesoldungsgesetz).

Admission requirements
Training within the administration. No direct application at the higher education institution. Applications have to be addressed to the responsible hiring authorities. It is not possible to apply directly to the Hochschule für Rechtspflege Schwetzingen. Instead, the application must be sent to the hiring authority of the federal state/part of the federal state in which the practical training is to be completed and the subsequent professional activity is to take place. Only those who meet the legal requirements for appointment as a civil servant can be hired for the preparatory service.
