Special features library The library deploys its resources in an efficient and user-oriented manner. RFID technology has been introduced for the supply of literature (print and electronic media), which contributes to modernisation and enhances loan services. The library is open to students around the clock (24-hour library), with access via magnetic card. The library in Weiden is also undergoing extensive structural expansion using funds from Economic Stimulus Package II of the Free State of Bavaria and the German federal government (approx. Foreign language courses There is a foreign language centre. English, French, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Russian, Chinese, Czech, Swedish, German as a Foreign Language as additional languages. Language offers also in continuing education at UNIcert level. more information »
Special features University Sports The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. Participation in the sports program of OTH Regensburg within the framework of the "Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule" is possible between OTH Amberg-Weiden and OTH Regensburg. The program is open to students of OTH Regensburg in cooperation with the "Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule" between OTH Amberg-Weiden and OTH Regensburg. Sports training times in the university sports hall in Amberg and the city sports halls in Weiden are regularly fully booked. About 500 students take advantage of the diverse range of activities offered by the Sports Department. This includes exercise classes such as yoga, dance, jazz dance and other individual sports.
