Special features library The library deploys its resources in an efficient and user-oriented manner. RFID technology has been introduced for the supply of literature (print and electronic media), which contributes to modernisation and enhances loan services. The library is open to students around the clock (24-hour library), with access via magnetic card. The German Library Association conducted its first national evaluation in 2010. The university library was also awarded an outstanding rating among specialist university libraries in 2018. more information »
Foreign language courses There is a foreign language centre. English, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Russian, Chinese, Czech, Swedish, German, and other foreign languages, also in continuing education at UNIcert level. more information »
Special features University Sports The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. It is possible for its own students to participate in the sports program of OTH Regensburg within the framework of the "Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule" between OTH Amberg-Weiden and OTH Regensburg. The program is open to students of OTH Regensburg in cooperation with the "Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule" between OTH Amberg-Weiden and OTH Regensburg. Sports training times in the university sports hall in Amberg and the city sports halls in Weiden are regularly fully booked. About 800 students take advantage of the diverse range of activities offered by the Sports Department. This includes exercise classes such as yoga, dance, jazz dance and other individual sports.
