Künstlerhaus Lukas offers residential scholarships for artists working in the genres fine art, literature, dance and composition. The scholarships are open to applicants whose principal place of residence is in Germany, another country bordering the Baltic Sea, or in Norway, the United Kingdom or Iceland.
Künstlerhaus Lukas invites artists to apply for residential scholarships. The listed Künstlerhaus, which is over 120 years old, is located in the historic art village of Ahrenshoop near Stralsund and offers seven scholarship holders excellent working conditions in an area of great natural beauty. Selected exchange locations in Denmark, Sweden, Lithuania, Iceland and the Russian Federation complete the international scholarship programme.
Professional artists working in the fine arts (painting, sculpture, graphic arts, photography, artist books, video, crafts/design), literature (prose, poetry, drama, film/TV scripts, essay, literary translation), dance (choreography, performance), music (composition) and curators whose principal place of residence is in Germany or one of the other countries bordering the Baltic Sea (Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Russia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark), in Norway, the United Kingdom or Iceland. There is no age limit.
The programme will be awarding up to 60 scholarships for one-month working visits and exchange scholarships, two-month curator scholarships and two-week workshop stays in 2018 and 2019. The maximum monthly rate is 1,000 EUR; costs for accommodation and travel to and from the Künstlerhaus are covered.
