Programme Description
Students and young academics from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine with intermediate German knowledge (at least B1-level) are eligible to apply for the summer school grants for German language courses at a Bavarian institution of higher education. The scholarships for courses on-site in Bavaria include the course fee, accommodation and a food allowance at a Bavarian institution of higher education.
Target Group
undergraduates, graduates and young scientists with at least B1-level command of German from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine. Applicants must be a national of one of the eligible countries.
Academic Requirements
At the time of application, applicants must be enrolled in one of the eligible countries for their studies or be employed in the academic field there and have already finished at least 2 complete semesters at a higher education institution and be able to prove this with grades.

about 40 scholarships per year

Course fee, accommodation and spending money allowance or board at a Bavarian institution of higher education.

Application requirements
Application Requirements
- citizenship of a country participating in the programme: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine
- At the time of application candidates are enrolled or working in an academic capacity at a higher education institution in one of the participating countries.
- at least 2 semesters spent at a higher education institution, proven by grades
- at least B1-level command of German
- Candidates have reached legal age by the time of application.
- The programme provides one-time support, renewal is not possible.
