Description We are looking for talented chemists, who are interested in development of either

(a) aminoferrocene-based prodrugs targeting a variety of diseases (cancer, inflammatory, autoimmune diesease) or

(b) cancer specific siRNA-based drugs.

The work will include organic synthesis, spectroscopic (UV-vis, fluorescence), chromatographic (HPLC, TLC) and mass spectrometric (ESI and MALDI-TOF MS) investigation of the prodrugs and tests of their effects on cancer cell lines.

Requirements:
A potential candidate should hold an MSc-title (or equivalent, e.g. Diplom) in chemistry or biochemistry or related field. Candidates with BSc-degree can start in the MSc programm of the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy.
