International higher education fairs enable prospective students to interact directly with representatives of German higher education institutions and research organisations. It's worth dropping by if a higher education fair is taking place near you: personal encounters open up many possibilities.
International higher education fairs offer international students a good way to find out more about the higher education landscape in Germany. Various higher education institutions present themselves and their range of courses and provide information about their aims and the contents and methodologies of individual subjects. Such education fairs also provide an opportunity to interact directly with students, lecturers and professors. Many questions can be addressed in personal conversations that are not so easy to answer online: for example about degree programmes, admission requirements or the recognition of certificates.

The International Graduate Scholarship Fair (IGSF) is an annual event which started in 2009. Its purpose is to provide information on graduate scholarships and fellowships at international universities and China Scholarship Council (CSC) to excellent students, who wish to pursue postgraduate study or doctoral research overseas. It also aims to strengthen ties between CSC and international institutions and promote academic exchange with Chinese and international universities.
The DAAD is represented at the IGSF to introduce young academics to the study and research opportunities in Germany and the funding programmes offered by the DAAD as part the "Research in Germany – Land of Ideas" campaign.
The daad.de website is only available in English and German. However the DAAD is located worldwide with several offices abroad. Please visit the websites of our offices abroad for country-specific information also in local languages.
