• Standard application procedure

  Application requirements
  Students who can apply are those who are enrolled at:
  - RWTH Aachen
  - Fachhochschule Aachen
  - Fachhochschule Aachen, department Jülich
  - Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, department Aachen
  - Katholische Hochschule in Aachen

  Application deadline
  You should begin your application as soon as you know that you want to study in Aachen, even if you are not yet an enrolled student. It makes no difference for your application if you want to study at the University or at the University of Applied Sciences.

  Application
  To apply for a dormitory, fill in this online form.
  After the Studierendenwerk has received your online application, you will get a confirmation email. The application is completed after you have confirmed the link sent in that email.
  Disabled students are given priority. Please send a corresponding certificate to wohnen@stw.rwth-aachen.de.

• Exchange students, programme students and visiting students

  In cooperation with Studierendenwerk Aachen, RWTH Aachen International Office has arranged a limited allotment of rooms for exchange students, programme students and visiting students in dorms. For these rooms there is a separate application portal with access provided only by the International Office. To check your eligibility for these rooms, please contact housing@rwth-aachen.de. Please be aware that these rooms can be rented for a maximum of two semesters.
  
  Important information: To increase your chances of getting a room offer, you can apply for both a regular room at Studierendenwerk Aachen and for a room via the International Office.

• Additional information

  Certificate of housing eligibility is required (issued by the city of Aachen).
  Six apartments are disability-friendly.
