• Standard application procedure

  Application requirements
  You are eligible to live in a room of the Studierendenwerk Mainz if you are enrolled at Johannes Gutenberg-University, the University Mainz or the Bingen University of Technology. Unfortunately, if you are in Mainz for an internship, you have to look for a room on the private market. Students who are above the age of thirty-five at the time they apply are not eligible for accommodation.
  Applications for accommodation can be made before you have your matriculation certificate.

  Application deadline
  Submit your application as early as possible, regardless of whether or not you already have been admitted or are enrolled.

• International students

  You have a good chance of getting a room in a hall of residence if you send the online application to Studierendenwerk Mainz at the latest by 15 January for the summer semester and by 15 July for the winter semester.
  
  Please click here for further information. As rooms are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, it is recommended to apply as early as possible, as this increases the chance of receiving a rental offer.

• Additional information

  All-inclusive-rent - you won't have to worry about additional costs such as heating, water or internet.
  
  The rooms are allocated according to the application date, i.e. the late you apply, the later the Studierendenwerk Mainz sends you an offer.
