The Christian-Albrecht-Haus is located in Kiel's villa district Düsternbrook, only 500 meters from the Kiel Fjord. Here you can enjoy all aspects of your everyday life - whether you are studying, taking a break from learning, or meeting up with friends by the water.

The building's history dates back to the year 1923. As the first residence hall for international students in the Federal Republic of Germany, it was inaugurated in 1951 by the then Federal President Prof. Theodor Heuss. According to its statute, 50% of the inhabitants shall be German and 50% foreign nationals. The cultural and spiritual exchange of the inhabitants is a key aim of this institution.
