Rent deposit
Upon signing of the rental contract a deposit of two months rent must be deposited. This deposit will be fully refunded at the end of the rental period if there is no damage to the room. Accrued interest will be invested in maintenance.
Duration of housing
Rental contracts are limited to three years and six months. A request for extension has to be filed eight weeks in advance of the expiration of the contract. In certain circumstances it might be possible to extend contracts for another year, please contact the Studierendenwerk for further information.

There is a Hit supermarket five minutes away, with a bakery and flower shop, which is open until ten o'clock in the evening. Directly next to it are, amongst others pharmacies, opticians, doctors and a bank. A post office is opposite on Vaalser Straße.
