International German language and literature

The DAAD presents the Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm Prize to foreign academics for outstanding achievements in the fields of German language and literature, German as a foreign language and German studies. The prize recognises academics who through their teaching and research have contributed significantly to international academic cooperation and cultural understanding. The Grimm Young Talents Award, established in 2011, is presented to young scholars of German language and literature from abroad who have already made notable contributions to research and teaching in German language, literature and culture. The award winner is selected annually among junior researchers in German language and literature from a particular region of the world.
