Topic of the dissertation: Spatiotemporal Programming in Supramolecular Polymerization

BACKGROUND AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION. Developing out-of-equilibrium supramolecular polymerization for off-equilibrium spatiotemporal control of structural organization and functional state.
In this project, we aim to synthesize monomers and artificial chemical reaction networks (CRNs) to program out-of-equilibrium supramolecular polymerization. The reaction-diffusion strategy will then be used to achieve spatial-temporal control over the structural self-organization and the functional state of the polymerization. The project deals with the synthesis of organic molecules, the characterization of supramolecular polymers using spectroscopy and fluorescence/super-resolution microscopy.
Dhiman has pioneered work in chemical reaction networks, self-assembly, and transient supramolecular polymerization, which gave impetus to this emerging field of coacervation and is considered to be early compartments in the origin of life. You will be hired according to the German salary schedule with full social benefits.
