Important information concerning TOEFL/IELTS test results:
TOEFL result for Master's scholarships to Jordan:
An Institutional TOEFL test may be submitted, if taken and certified by AMIDEAST. Required minimum result: 500 paper based/ 173 computer based/60 iBT
TOEFL result for IDP Master's scholarships to Germany and for IT IDP Master's scholarships to Germany: An official International TOEFL must be submitted. Required minimum result: 550 paper based/ 213 computer based/79iBT
For testing dates and location please contact AMIDEAST (or British council for IELTS testing) – please register early, they both have long waiting lists! Please note too, that the result takes a long time to arrive, about 13 weeks (in other words more than three months!!) for TOEFL and about 13 days for IELTS - do check exact processing times and procedures with Amideast and with the British Council.
IELTS result from the British Council - 6.0 for most IDP Master's programes in Germany and 5.0 for Master's in Jordan
Attention: some Master's programes ask for even higher TOEFL and IELTS results, 575 or 6.5 respectively

Die nach jahrelangen Verhandlungen am 15.02.2006 unterzeichnete Erklärung über die gegenseitige Anerkennung von Studienabschlüssen wischen der Bundesrepublik Deutschland und der Palaestinensischen Autoritaet, vertreten durch das palaestinensische Erziehungs-und Hochschulministerium, wird nun endlich für alle betroffenen palästinensischen Absolventen eutscher Hochschulen implementiert. Das DAAD IC Jerusalem bittet um Rückmeldungen nach erfolgreicher Anerkennung, bzw. um Meldung möglicher noch bestehender Probleme.

As from February 1st 2004 the Tawjihi certificate (Palestinian High School Leaving Certificate -"ilmi & "adabi" only!) is fully recognized in Germany. All Palestinian high-school graduates with a tawjihi certificate can take up their studies at any Germany University as soon as they have fulfilled the relevant language requirements.
Graduates with a scientific stream ("ilmi") tawjihi may apply for all fields of study, whereas graduates with an arts-stream ("adabi") tawjihi are limited in their choice to fields taught in the faculty of arts, economics, business administration and law as well as the fine arts.
