Only the best applicants, provided they have fulfilled all requirements and have submitted a complete application, can be invited to an interview (to be held in English) by a bi-national Palestinian-German Committee. (It is your responsibility to check when your personal interview is scheduled and to confirm it with the DAAD IC in Jerusalem).

Results of these interviews in the form of a preliminary shortlist will be made available as soon as possible after completion of all interviews in Palestine.

The successful candidates must get an acceptance from one of the International Degree Programs in Germany. Scholarships can only be given to those students who got this acceptance.

If your name appears on the shortlist of applications submitted to the DAAD Head Office in Bonn, please, immediately start your application process to one of the International Degree Programs. Do note that DAAD will not pay excessive tuition fees!

You have to submit a completely new application to your chosen course. Each course will let you know which papers and documents are required. Again, you will have to submit certified copies of your degrees and your transcripts. Therefore, make sure you ask for at least three or more copies from your university when you start your original DAAD application. Do submit only those papers and exam-results required by the respectiveprogram. Don’t send results of exams in which you did not score high and which are not requested.

Do inform us at the DAAD IC in Jerusalem, when you send out an application. We shall then get in touch directly with these programs in Germany. Also, you should make sure to mention quite clearly in your application that you applied for a DAAD scholarship. As soon as you have been awarded the scholarship, do immediately inform your chosen degree program in Germany.

As a rule application papers cannot be returned. However, if your application was not successful, please contact (best by e-mail) the DAAD office in Jerusalem to find out, if and how your papers can be returned to you. Application-papers sent to Germany cannot be returned under any circumstances.

The successful candidates will normally travel to Germany in June for a 4 months preliminary German language course.

Value of the scholarship: DAAD pays a monthly installment of currently 750 Euros/month, all fees for the preparatory language course, tuition and fees (not with private universities), study & research subsidy, travel expenses to and from Germany, accident & health insurance
