As a
result of the closures in the Westbank and the Gaza Strip, it has been very difficult in
recent years to establish a Palestinian alumni association. We are very happy, however, to
inform you about the establishment of the "Verein der Deutschsprechenden in
Palaestina" dtsprechverein@yahoo.de.You are
all invited to join it and to follow its activities.Also, in the
last few months, German alumni, and DAAD alumni in particular, at the
different Palestinian universities have started to get organized. So far, there are
alumni associations in Birzeit, at al-Quds University in Jerusalem, and at an-Najah
University in Nablus. As soon as we have addresses and e-mails, we shall post them
here for you to get in touch.
DAAD and the German Representative Office in Ramallah have made a special
effort to meet with all alumni all over the country.
We would like to ask all of you to send your contact address and
e-mail to the DAAD IC in Jerusalem, if you haven't done so already. We shall try to keep
