RISE 2012
To promote the exchange of students from North America and Great Britain to Germany in the fields of natural science, engineering and life sciences, the German Academic Exchange Service, in cooperation with several affiliated organizations and associations, offers the opportunity for PhD students at German universities and research institutions to submit an application to host a foreign research assistant in summer 2012. The program is funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
What does the RISE program include?
The DAAD funds North American and British students for short-term research stays at German universities and research institutions. The student participants must have completed the second year of their undergraduate studies at an American, Canadian or British university and are intended to support PhD students in their experimental work for a period of 2-3 months in Germany. Funded placements are available in the following fields: biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, earth and life sciences.
