Erasmus Mundus Master Course
NEW: Erasmus Mundus Master Course - GLITEMA (German Literature in the European Middle Ages) All students in China, who graduated with in German, or Germanic studies (or equivalent) can apply for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship for the program GLITEMA. This is an integrated post-graduate master's degree, with its focus in the study of German literature of the Middle Ages and early modern European context.
This trans-national study leads to a double degree, which is funded by the European Commission and by a consortium of three universities (Porto [coordinator], Bremen, and Palermo) - and with the support of a worldwide network of affiliated universities.
In the academic year 2010/11, aside from students from the EU, there are also students from Argentina, China, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, India, Mongolia, Montenegro, Russia, some South Africa, Togo and Turkey. For the academic year 2011/12, the GLITEMA Consortium is again providing grants to Chinese students. These scholarships cover travel costs to and within Europe, as well as insurance costs and tuition fees, the scholarship recipients will also receive a monthly allowance of 1,000 € for their two years of studies - that is 24,000 Euros per scholarship.
