As from 2008, a DIES International Deans Course is held for university managers from Southeast Asia. The goal of this in-service training programme is to prepare deans, vice-deans or degree programme coordinators for management tasks, while at the same time establishing a transnational network of university managers in the target region. The DIES Project ASEAN-QA Southeast Asia started in 2011 and promotes quality assurance at universities in Southeast Asia. Cooperation partners are DAAD and HRK, the Regional Centre for Higher Education and Development in Southeast Asia (SEAMEO RIHED), the ASEAN University Network (AUN) as well as the two networks of quality assurance agencies in Europe (ENQA) and Southeast Asia (AQAN). The University of Potsdam is coordinating the project on the German side.
