Tiffany Ware

My name is Tiffany Ware. I am 21 and I will be a senior at the
University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio.

My major is Chemical Engineering
and I working towards a German minor. I will have an internship at the
Fraunhofer Institure (IZPF) this summer through the RISE program. I
first fell in love with Germany through my great-grandparents and my
grandparents (my step-grandmother speaks fluent German). With such a
rich history how can you not be interested in Germany??? My first trip
to Germany was when I was 17. I became good friends with the German
foreign exchange student at my high school, and decided to visit after
he returned to Germany. I stayed with his family and was immersed in the
culture. The wonderful experience helped me to pursue German courses at
my Uni and even travel to Germany more. I learned of the DAAD through my
German language professor. I applied and was thrilled to find a project
related to my research background…Polymers and materials engineering.
