Paul Kaufman

Hi, my name is Paul Kaufman and I am a 20 year old student studying
chemistry at the University of Oxford.

I will be spending eight weeks this
summer in Professor Carsten Bolm’s group at Aachen University doing
organic chemistry research. I hope it will be a chance to discover
whether scientific research is something that I want to do as a career
after finishing my degree. The RISE program has given me a fantastic
opportunity to meet some new people, experience a new country and learn
a new language. I have heard that Aachen is a fun and exciting city and
so I am expecting great things from my time there…
Can’t wait for the summer to start and to finally be in Aachen.
