Christina Price RISE

My name is Christina Price, and I will be entering the fourth and final year of
my B.Sc.(Honours) program in the Fall at Memorial University in St. John’s,
Newfoundland, Canada.

My major is chemistry, and I have completed a minor in
mathematics. As a young (21-year-old) Canadian, I have quite enjoyed the first
part of my stay in Germany, and am looking forward to the rest of my summer
here. This is my third summer working in a chemistry research lab; the summer
after my first year of university, I worked in a lab at my own university, the
summer after my second year I worked at another Canadian university (the
University of Ottawa), so the natural progression in my mind was to spend a
summer conducting research in another country. With the help of Google, I
discovered the DAAD, and its stellar reputation, and was attracted to the RISE
program. Germany was already on my short list of countries in which to work, so
I applied to participate in the RISE program and here I am, working at the
Institut für Anorganische Chemie in Leipzig.
