Scholarship holders / Alumni Home

Welcome to the DAAD Alumni Website. These pages are intended for all former DAAD scholarship holders (alumni): Students, doctoral/PhD candidates, post-docs, Lektors and teaching assistants, as well as university teachers and professors. The DAAD wants to keep in touch with you the alumni even after you have completed your scholarship. Some of the programmes and services will certainly also interest scholarship holders currently receiving support, especially the information on our small equipment grants programme and the database of scholarship holder reports.

The German Academic Exchange Service (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst - DAAD) sees the end of your scholarship or support as the beginning of a long-standing active relationship with its former scholarship holders (alumni).

Formerly a scholarship holder and today... ?
The DAAD-supported stay is a decisive milestone in the biography of many alumni.

It is with great pleasure and a good degree of pride that we are able to present the successful careers of some of our former scholarship holders. These biographies prove that crossing borders also means expanding personal horizons.

further information

The Forum is specifically intended for all current and former scholarship holders. This area is exclusively reserved for the many thousand DAAD alumni and scholarship holders and offers the following special services.

further information

The DAAD offers its alumni support beyond the time of their scholarship or grant. These programmes and services are designed for specific support categories. And so not each programme or service is open to all former scholarship holders.

further information

This section provides a general overview of the alumni events currently being prepared. The information is intended for (potential) participants in the appropriate events.

The DAAD sees these clubs and their members as important contacts since, as a rule, the members will now hold leading positions in their home country. They all share the experience of having completed a study or research stay at a German university or college. Their knowledge of two education and social systems makes them experts in all questions relating to exchange between the host and home country.

further information

German DAAD scholarship holders who wish to keep in touch with the DAAD and with other scholarship holders when they complete their support period can best do so in the Friends of the DAAD.

further information

The network of former DAAD-Lecturers Berlin-Brandenburg offers a forum for former Lecturers, especially for those, who have returned only recently to Germany. The aim of the network is maintaining the contact among the lectureres and to DAAD.
